Underdog (2007)

If you're too young to remember the 1960s cartoon "Underdog", this movie might not be your cup of tea. It takes characters and situations out of the old cartoon series and puts them on the big screen for the first time as a live-action movie.

I watched it when I was a kid. It was one of the few cartoons I could laugh at without feeling stupid. The movie made me feel almost the same, especially when seeing how Underdog takes a bite out of crime on the big screen for the first time. Some of the characters are different (like Riff Raff) and some are so close to the original cartoon characters I just had to watch this movie all the way through.

I'm surprised at the low ratings on IMDB. Perhaps it's because it was aimed at kids and not adults. Heck, I'm just a big kid at heart. That character Cad was hilarious with his thesaurus and everything. He annoyed the heck out of Dr. Barsinister. You don't have to be a kid to enjoy watching that!

It stars Jason Lee as the voice of Underdog, Peter Dinklage as Dr. Simon Barsinister, James Belushi, Patrick Warburton, Alex Neuberger and more. Here's the trailer:
