People tend to pay much more attention to the type and style of television they own than the type and style of the TV stand they use to support it. It may be difficult to see in the tiny picture to your left, but that black TV stand is definitely not appropriate for the television it's supporting. But what the hey? That was back in the 1950s when people just didn't know any better.
